According to recent studies, the “over 50 years of age” group is the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population. 85% of Seniors are homeowners who are considering relocation to a place better suited to their current wants and needs than where they may have lived for many years. Perhaps they stayed there for jobs, to care for elderly parents, or to remain in a climate that suited them many years ago.
The Raleigh Metro area rises to the top of many lists because it meets multiple aspects of needs. This area has been attracting people from all over the country because it offers many advantages: temperate climate and clean environment; reasonable cost of living, varied and abundant housing, a wide variety of cultural and recreational activities, and VERY important, outstanding medical facilities, health care providers and availability of assisted living/life care and/or nursing homes.
The SRES® designation course seeks to instill knowledge and understanding for 50+ real estate clients and customers. As a SRES designated I have developed the business building skills and resources needed for specialization in the 50+ real estate market. I know the distinguishing characteristics and trends of the 50+ market and have an exstensive knowlage in the uses, benefits, procedures, and issues involved in reverse mortgages, the uses of pensions, 401k accounts, and IRAs in real estate transactions. I’m here to help with recognizing mortgage finance and loan schemes and scams that victimize 50+ borrowers.
